Phenoxyethanol

Phenoxyethanol is an alcohol native from green tea, nowadays made synthetically in labs. It's used as the substitute for paraben, because it has the same properties but does not harm the health of hair or skin and it is completely natural and vegan. Phenoxyethanol is used as a preservative, as a solvent, as a stabilizer and as an antimicrobial ingredient. It also has moisturizing and conditioning effects, being present in skin care and hair care products.
