Serine is an non-essential amino acid (this means the human body can synthesize it) that has the main role as moisturizing in cosmetics. It happens for the water-binding properties it has. Serine is also used as an anti-static and hair conditioning agent making hair stronger and smoothier. Aspargus is a food that has a high concentration of Serine in it. Serine can also be found in beans, cauliflower and other vegetables.
